GloriaFood is shutting down: what to do before April 30, 2027
GloriaFood's own site says it "will reach end of life on April 30, 2027" [1]. Until then it keeps working for restaurants already on it. After that date, the ordering button on your website, the ordering link on Facebook and the menus behind your QR codes stop taking orders.
Six months is enough time to move calmly. Below: what GloriaFood said, what stops, what to save, what the options cost, and a step-by-step move that never leaves you without an Order button.
What GloriaFood said
The notice on gloriafood.com, read Oct 23, 2026 [1]:
"GloriaFood will reach end of life on April 30, 2027. We remain committed to supporting existing customers through this date. While Oracle does not offer a direct replacement for GloriaFood products and services, we would like to make you aware of FoodAmigos…"
So Oracle, which owns GloriaFood, isn't moving you anywhere. It names one company, FoodAmigos, and leaves the choice to you. Vendors report that GloriaFood no longer takes new restaurants [2]; its home page shows no sign-up today [1].
What stops working
Everything GloriaFood runs for you [3]:
- The Order button on your website. It's GloriaFood's code; when GloriaFood stops, the button does too.
- The ordering link on Facebook and on your Google profile. Both point at GloriaFood's pages [4].
- QR codes on table tents, window stickers and flyers that open a GloriaFood menu.
- Table reservations, if you take them through GloriaFood.
- Paid extras: card payments online ($29 a month), promotions ($19 a month) and the POS ($49 a month) [3].
Your menu, your prices and your hours stay yours, but they live inside GloriaFood. Get them out before the end date.
Save these now
- Your full menu: every dish, price, size and choice (e.g. "pick 2 sides", "choose your meat"). Check that the choices come over, not just the dish names: the choices are what a kitchen needs to get an order right.
- Your hours, holiday hours, pickup and delivery settings.
- Where your button lives: your website (and who can edit it), your Facebook page, your Google Business Profile, every QR code you've printed. Write the list down; each one needs the new link.
- Your logins to your website builder, domain and Facebook page. Without them you can't swap the button.
Your diners' past orders and accounts stay with GloriaFood: plan to tell regulars where to order next (a sign at the counter, a line on the receipt).
First decide what you need
Do diners pay at pickup, or online by card? On GloriaFood's free plan they pay at pickup. Card pay online was a paid add-on [3]. If you never paid for it, you may not need it now either.
Pickup only, or delivery too? Delivery means drivers or a delivery app, and their fees.
A whole new website, or just the button? Most GloriaFood restaurants already have a site with the button on it. Swapping the button is a smaller job than a new site.
How many orders a month? Some free plans stop at a monthly order count.
The options, with prices
US list prices, read on the day shown in the sources. Check each page before you buy; prices change.
| Option | Price | Diners pay | Good to know | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Menuthere | Free up to 50 orders a month; Lite $17 a month; Pro $39 a month | At pickup on Free; online on Lite and up | Free plan shows their badge; imports GloriaFood menus | [5] |
| Menubly | Free; Pro $9.99 a month or $95.99 a year | Pickup and delivery ordering | Menu mini-site with QR; your own domain on Pro | [6] |
| Square Online | Free; Plus $49 a month | Online by card, 3.3% + 30¢ per order on Free | Best if you already use Square at the counter | [7] |
| UpMenu | $49 to $169 a month | Online or at pickup | Offers free migration | [8] |
| Owner.com | $249 or $499 a month | Online | Website, app, marketing; a 5% guest fee on orders | [9] |
| FoodAmigos | Not listed on GloriaFood's notice | Unknown | The company GloriaFood's notice names | [1] |
| Full Room (us) | $149 for setup and the first year, then $49 a year | At pickup | Imports your GloriaFood menu from its link; keeps your Order button with one line of code; no order cap, no badge | Details |
How to switch without missing an order
- Now: build the new menu while GloriaFood still runs. Import it rather than retype it, then check every price and choice on your phone.
- Place a test order on the new system, from your phone, and make sure your phone rings or buzzes loudly enough to hear in the kitchen.
- Pick a quiet day (a Monday afternoon, not a Friday night). Swap the button on your website, then the Facebook and Google links.
- Reprint QR codes once the new link works. Choose a system whose QR always opens the current menu, so a price change never means reprinting.
- Watch the first week. Keep GloriaFood on for a few days in case a diner uses an old link, then switch it off.
Don't leave it for April. Every GloriaFood restaurant faces the same date; the last weeks are when web designers, support lines and print shops are busiest.
Where Full Room fits
We built Full Room for the GloriaFood restaurant whose diners pay at pickup. Paste your GloriaFood ordering link and your menu comes over in seconds, with sizes, choices and prices. Keep GloriaFood running until you switch your button. Nothing to pay until you switch; then $149 for setup and the first year, $49 a year after.
Questions
When exactly does GloriaFood stop?
GloriaFood's notice gives April 30, 2027 [1]. One vendor blog says March 31; we found no GloriaFood source for that date.
Can I still sign up for GloriaFood?
Its home page shows no sign-up, and vendors report it closed to new restaurants [1] [2].
Will GloriaFood move me to a new system?
No. Oracle says it doesn't offer a direct replacement and names FoodAmigos as one option [1]. The choice, and the move, are yours.
Do I need a new website?
Not if you already have one. You need a new Order button on it, and new links on Facebook, Google and your QR codes.
Is there a free GloriaFood alternative?
Yes, with limits: Menuthere's free plan stops at 50 orders a month and shows its badge [5]; Menubly and Square Online have free plans [6] [7]. Check order caps, badges and per-order card fees.
